Have you ever wished that you could just slip into a flow of knowledge and tap into problem solving information out of the blue? Here’s some information that will speed up the process for you about how to do it.
Many years ago, “Elaine,” an early and very mysterious mentor told me that she trained wizards. She said that all of us are wizards if we choose to declare ourselves as such.
We all have an inner wisdom that is available to us at will with practice. It brings forth our creativity to solve problems and activates our natural intuition.
My research after that led me to produce and host a variety of TV shows on the topic of our mind’s mysterious powers. This also included a stint as a special reporter on the subject for KTTV TV in Los Angeles and their network of stations around the U.S.
I later taught a class at UCLA’s Experimental College on the topic of our mind powers and continued training others in seminars and through personal coaching. I’ve since abled these abilities and techniques as “Your Inner Wizard,” (YIW)
Elaine was right. When you begin working with YIW, discoveries and creative breakthroughs will abound. One of the results is an information flow that can be very beneficial to you and others around you.
One of the most important elements of this work is what I call a “Wizard Flow.” This is an unrestrained non-edited stream of unique information that may last seconds or even hours.
Your mind becomes like a search engine, silently seeking the information that pertains to this inner power or yours. It pours forth at what sometimes may seem like a fire hose of information on the subject at hand.
When I first discovered this I was very young.
I was asked for some advice and it was like a switch went off in my mind. I began talking about some ideas and then it just flowed fast and without much forethought on my part. In fact, as I was talking, I was realizing that these were new ideas to me and seemed to come from knowledge that I didn’t have, or at least I didn’t know I had it.
First, let’s examine a couple of creative problem solving techniques that are common today:
Brainstorming – This is a great concept. It’s usually in a group where everyone is agreed that they will be open to all ideas and no idea should be withheld or dismissed. Everyone allows the back and forth of idea exchange to continue until something workable takes shape. Then they can focus on that in the same way, etc., until they achieve the desired creation.
This can become creative for everyone. However, it is often slowed by too much thinking. Whenever an idea is preceded by the statements; “What do you think of this. . .?” Or, “Here’s an idea. . .” etc., their creative powers are already hampered with too much time between the verbal and the mental flow process.
Teams – This has become a popular corporate philosophy of getting people working together within a framework of equality. In some models, no one is the “boss,” and everyone’s contribution is deemed equal.
Teams are often thought of as idea generators as well.
Teams are more of a work execution plan after someone, usually management, has come up with the idea. They generally do not generate much creativity.
The idea of a Wizard Flow is to allow a free flow of information. Unlike brainstorming, when you get into this flow, you are receiving information with a progression of ideas or direction. This can be done alone or with others.
It’s like creativity without thinking, or at least the conscious reality of thought. You’ve done this before many times, but may not have realized it. Sometimes it lasts for only seconds. I call the result of these moments, AHA’s.
Have you ever had an idea or expressed something new and wondered, “Where did that idea come from?” We all have. But you can be more on purpose with this inner tool, your Wizard Flow.
There are two primary ways to use your Wizard Flow. First, by yourself. Either talking into a tape recorder or writing. Talking is often best method as you are only slowed by your ability to speak clearly enough to be understandable.
The second way is when you’re working on a solution or attempting to create some sort of breakthrough with another person.
For example, when I work with coaching or consulting clients I might slip into this flow, which is noticeable by the way the meter of my voice changes. This is different from an instruction or suggestion.
Recently I was working with a client in Europe helping her to create her next book and and a series of online courses. Suddenly I shifted into about a two-minute flow that included this advice; “Write a statement of your beliefs.”
As I said it, I realized that I’d never suggested this before nor did I know exactly why I was doing so now. But there it was.
It stimulated our conversation further and she realized that it was exactly what she needed as a creative breakthrough to formulate her new work. Once she wrote out her statement she had multiple breakthroughs, both creatively and personally.
Your Wizard Flow may only last a few seconds or minutes. When you’re alone it can go on for hours. The importance is to recognize and allow it.
The first step for creative problem solving, and this means solutions to your daily self-betterment, is first be aware that you have a basic intuitive side. Use the Intuitive Click method to activate that (which you can find below in the YIW special report).
When you are activated by simple awareness that you have this ability, you’ll often find a free flow of thoughts and ideas. You can recognize when your Wizard Flow is in motion by how you are feeling when these thoughts and ideas are coming on.
You will often feel like you’re watching or listening to yourself do this, almost like you’re outside looking in. It’s not a trance or anything weird, but it can put you in an altered state of consciousness.
Don’t let that term throw you. When you’re watching TV you’re in a highly altered state and often giving your mind over to “them.” Now, that should scare you!
When I first started writing out my experiences with this work, the writing went on for hours in a continuous flow that caused me to loose all awareness of time. In fact, I thought it has been less than an hour. It had been over three hours. My creative output exceed what I would normally write out in days, all within a few hours.
The tremendous creativity that is inside of you and linked to your subconscious, and who knows where else, is a joy to experience.
“The only job we have been given when we came to this earth is to create. Everything we do is a creation, from a job, to children to thoughts.
We all create all the time – it is all we do.” From the book on overcoming rejection, “How To Take No For An Answer And Still Succeed.”
Creative problem solving is the answer to your problems! But how?
